Nikolay Vetrov

Nikolay Vetrov is one of the leading Russian no-gi grapplers of his generation. Known for his aggressive pace, dangerous leg lock game, and constant submission pressure, Vetrov has established himself as one of the most exciting competitors on the international grappling scene.

Representing the new era of modern no-gi grappling, Nikolay combines technical precision with relentless attacking sequences, especially through lower-body submissions and dynamic transitions. A black belt under Thiago Sá Fortes Silva, his performances across ADCC, AJP, Quintet, and professional superfights have earned him recognition as one of Europe’s top rising submission grapplers.

One of the few Russian athletes in history to qualify for the ADCC World Championship through the European Trials, Vetrov secured his place at grappling’s most prestigious tournament following his victory at the 2026 ADCC European, Middle East & African Trials.
